The 3-D whale is made of Rice Krispy Treats covered in fondant.

Since Estrella has been burning the candle at both ends, trying to finish her studies while making cakes and taking care of the family, we (her husband Jorge and I) decided to make her birthday cake look like her text books. mini-heart

 One of the little girls that was attending a friend's birthday party is celiac, so I made her a special mini-cake of her own. It's a flourless Dark Chocolate cake (using Almond Meal instead of flour) with Marshmallow Fondant. This size cake would also be a good option for an intimate anniversary celebration, as it's just the right size for 2 people.
